In January, I visited my brother-in-law, who was dying from cancer. In our last conversation, we discussed his life and what he expected afterwards. He said his heart was peaceful and looked forward to returning to that special lake from spirits arose. This painting is dedicated to his memory and his gentle spirit, touching everyone he met.  This picture is based on what he described. Acrylic on 140# arches watercolor paper.
