I am a Bucharest born and raised art-enthusiast and explorer and currently I am trying to get accepted into a Fine Art University.

The Ficus Artmoney series is actually an extension of my art portofolios, which I made for the applications at different  Fine Art Universities.  Through my portfolio I want to find out  how living in an ex communist neighbourhood influences everybody's life: humans, animals and vegetation. For example, bringing plants (like ficuses) into our homes might be our unconscious way of reconnecting with nature. It can be a sign of possessiveness, a way of reminding us where we came from, a basic survival instinct, all or none of the above.

If you think about it, we humas haven't changed much in the past thousands of years. If the prehistoric man wanted to bring life into his home by painting mammoths  or hooves onto his cave's walls, today we bring plants into our hallways and artwork into our homes.

So, if you like what you see and want to support the future generation of artists, please consider bringing one of my man-made ficuses into your home.
