I have always painted and I will always paint; it liberates my feelings and emotions, and it is delightful to be able to converse with colours. I am very lucky in having my own attic-studio where, in a kind of soul-searching way, I can struggle with diverse creations. I have also always played music. Yet music is always created in some or other social context, and always of course with a high degree of noise… so painting is my refuge; a place where I alone make the decisions and one of these decisions is to paint WITHOUT music! In this peace and tranquillity I can submerge myself into the pictures’ enormous universe, returning hopefully with a cleansed mind and soul… and new paintings ☺
